The MSI afterburner was released on 28 May 2015 (5 years ago). This version has an added voltage control of reference design NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN X series graphics cards and VIDIA GeForce GTX 980 Ti series graphics cards. A third party voltage control has also been added but can only run if a third party hardware database has also been downloaded.
Issues with maximum junction temperature (Tjmax) have also been solved where users can now ride the maximum junction temperature (Tjmax) through a configuration file as well. To monitor more accurately, the negative temperature has also been added for NVIDIA GPUs in all skins monitored by the application. According to overclockers.com correction formulas have also been added which help in modifying the temperature sensors.
Two new options “CPU load” and “CPU temperature” have also been added to monitor the CPU load and maximum CPU temperature across CPU cores currently being used at the time. A retry connection counter has also been included to the Logitech (LCD) module with an output format for min/max limits as depicted on the graph.
Load time for USF files have been reduced and moreover, new open skin files 10 times faster than the previous version of MSI afterburner. The multimedia timer resolution is not fixed to 10ms but can go till 16ms.
